Junior Bombers cap undefeated season

The Mountain Home Junior Bombers completed an undefeated season in dominating fashion with a 36-8 victory over the Clinton Junior Yellowjackets on Thursday night at Clinton.

Ten different players carried the ball for Mountain Home, which was led by 107 yards on six carries by Riley Peters.

Peters scored on a 49-yard run on the first play of the game from scrimmage and added the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead. Peters added a 35-yard touchdown run, and Eddie Just kicked the PAT for a 15-0 lead after one quarter.

Isaac McKay ran for a 3-yard touchdown, and Just's PAT kick made it 22-0 early in the second. Brook Gregg intercepted a pass that set up a 9-yard touchdown run by McKay to make it 29-0 with 20 seconds left before halftime.

Austin Helms recovered a Clinton fumble that set up a 3-yard touchdown run by Just, who drilled the PAT kick for a 36-0 lead in the third quarter.

McKay added 85 yards on six carries, Helms had 27 yards on four carries, Gregg had 25 yards on one carry, Blake Bogy had 23 yards on four carries, and Just, Jackson Gregory, John Kinslow, Carson Davis and Daylen Johnson added carries for the Junior Bombers, who end their season at 9-0 — the first unbeaten mark for Mountain Home since 1999.
