7th Grade Letter to Players and Parents

On behalf of the 7th grade football staff, we hope you have had a great summer and are looking forward to the upcoming season. There are some upcoming events that you need to be aware of.  If your child is considering participating in football this fall, please take notice to the following information.  Please disregard this letter if it does not pertain to your child’s plans for this fall.

There will be a parent/athlete meeting in the Pinkston cafeteria beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14th, following 7th grade Open House.  The coaching staff will issue equipment to the players on the following dates:

            Tuesday, Aug. 12th            8:00-12:00 a.m and 1:00-4:00p.m.

Thursday, Aug 14th            3:30-5:30 p.m. prior to Parent Meeting

In order to get correct information to our parents, we will create an email distribution list for those that have access to email.  Please email Coach McCain at mmccain@mtnhome.k12.ar.us with your email address so he can begin putting that list together.

Every athlete who participates in an after-school sport must have a current physical on file with the athletic office. If your athlete did not take advantage of the free physicals last April, you will need to get a physical through your physician prior to the start of school. If you obtain a physical prior to the parent meeting, you can turn it in at that time.

Our records show your child DOES NOT have a physical on file.

Our first practice is scheduled for August 20th, which is the first day of school.  Your child should have a current physical and athletic handbook form turned in before that time.  We will collect all forms at the parent meeting.  The Mtn. Home football program provides all necessary equipment with the exception of football cleats.

Just as reminder, please make sure your child has 7th period athletics on his class schedule if they did not sign up for it last spring.  If it is not on their schedule when you come to Open House, please let us know.

As a staff, we are really looking forward to the upcoming year, and we hope you are as excited as we are to begin. We look forward to seeing you at our meeting. Should you have any questions before then, do not hesitate to call us at 425-1236. You can also access Bomber football information grades 7-12 at the following website: www.mhbomberfootball.com.

Sincerely,
